Who can write a review
Anyone with an account and a confirmed email address can review a company they dealt with. You can review the same company once every 12 months, and edit your review for 30 days. Edited reviews are labelled “Edited”.
Every review is checked
New and edited reviews go through automatic checks. Reviews that look normal are published straight away; anything that looks unusual waits for one of our moderators first.
What “Verified” means
A review is marked Verified when we can link it to a real purchase or visit: the company invited that customer, or the review matches an order the company shared with us. Other reviews aren’t less valuable; we simply can’t confirm the purchase.
Invited and unprompted reviews
Companies may invite their customers to leave a review. Our terms don’t allow inviting only happy customers. Each company page shows what share of its reviews came from invitations, so you can see the mix.
What companies can and can’t do
- They can reply publicly to any review, and report a review they believe breaks our guidelines.
- They can’t edit, hide or delete reviews, and they can’t pay to remove them.
- Reported reviews are decided by our moderators, not by the company.
When we remove a review
We remove or reject reviews that break our review guidelines, for example fake reviews, reviews about someone else’s experience, or personal information. The author is told why and can appeal; a different moderator from the one who decided looks at the appeal. Each company page shows how many of its reviews were removed or rejected.
